Robert is a partner at Reeves Richarz.

Robert’s practice and expertise includes estates law, estate dispute resolution and litigation, family law, personal injury, employment, civil litigation and dispute resolution and he has appeared in Superior Court, the Court of Appeal, WSIB, College of Psychologists, College of Massage Therapists and other tribunals.

Robert dedicates himself to helping his clients achieve their goals and prides himself on long standing and ongoing relationships with his clients.  Robert works tirelessly for his clients and believes that it is a lawyer’s job to be work passionately for his client while being empathetic and providing practical and cost effective advice.

His litigation practice specializes in matters involving hotly, contested matters and high conflict situations however, he can also help his clients plan their affairs to resolve litigation early or avoid it all together.

Robert obtained his law degree from Osgoode Hall and Undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto where he received a Gold Medal for academic excellence.

When not practicing law, Robert is dedicated to giving back to the legal profession and the community.  Robert has served on the board of the Canadian Defence lawyers and the boards of the Ontario Bar Association, Civil Litigation, Insurance Law and Small Firm Practice Groups and has also been the editor of the Insurance Law Newsletter.

Robert is one of the founders of Great Lakes Open Water Swimming, an organization dedicated to promoting open water swimming and helping to clean up Lake Ontario.  He also founded Swim For Change, a group dedicated in raising money for Social and Environmental causes.  Robert was also the keynote speaker at the Water Canada Conference of 2023 and was nominated to be the World Open Water Swimming Man of the Year in 2019.

Robert is a recognized Open Water swimmer and is the first Canadians to swim across Lake Titicaca, and the first human being ever to swim a double crossing of the Straits of Magellan. He also swam across Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, Lake Windermere, Capri to Naples, Switzerland to France, and Italy to France, to raise money for the Shelter Movers, the World Wildlife Fund, the Mountain Gorilla Conservation Society, as well as the Brain Injury Society of Toronto.
