Paige Johnston is a dedicated advocate and dynamic force in her practice areas. She holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Theatre Studies from the University of Guelph and earned her LL.B. from Queen’s University Belfast in 2020. Paige began her legal career articling at a real estate law firm, where she honed her skills in title and property law, enhancing her family law practice, particularly in property division.
Called to the bar in June 2023, Paige practices family law, estate litigation, employment law, wills and estates, real estate, and civil litigation, including insurance defense. Her primary focus is family law, where she adeptly addresses property division, support, and parenting matters. Paige excels in mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances, leveraging her negotiation and drafting skills to craft innovative solutions that facilitate settlement.
Her passion for family law is deeply personal, inspired by her own parents’ divorce and similar experiences within her extended family. These experiences have shaped Paige into an empathetic advocate who prioritizes a child-focused approach, ensuring children are shielded from conflict and their voices are heard.
Paige is a member of the Toronto Lawyers Association, Hamilton Lawyers Association, The Advocates’ Society, Ontario Bar Association, and Canadian Bar Association. She is also proud to serve on the Legal Aid Panel.
Outside of work, Paige is an adventurer at heart. Whether running, skiing, playing tennis, skating, soccer, or recently testing her skills on the pickleball court, she embraces life with energy and enthusiasm. A travel aficionado and animal lover, she dotes on her rescue Dalmatian, Brooks, and her two cats, Mila, and Kai.
Paige volunteers as an ESL tutor, actively supports Living Positive in Kenya, and engages her creative side by writing poetry. A lover of classics, her playlists often feature legends like Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Etta James, and Bob Marley.
