Everton is a dual-licensed lawyer in Brazil and Ontario, Canada, and an Associate Lawyer at Reeves Richarz LLP. He specializes in civil litigation, with a focus on insurance defence, subrogation, coverage disputes, and compliance matters. His practice includes personal injury, motor vehicle accident litigation, occupiers’ liability, construction litigation, property damage, institutional defence, employment law, and estate litigation.
Before moving to Canada, Everton served as a Municipal Attorney in Brazil, representing the City of Conceição do Jacuípe (State of Bahia), where he led the civil and tax litigation department for five years. He also managed his own law firm for five years, focusing on civil litigation.
Everton was called to the bar in Brazil in 2011 and in Ontario in 2025. He articled at Reeves Richarz LLP in 2024 before joining the firm as an Associate Lawyer. He obtained his LL.B. in Brazil in 2010 and successfully completed the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) process in Canada to have his legal credentials recognized in 2023. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and has basic proficiency in French.
Everton is actively engaged with the Brazilian community in Ontario and is a Director and founding member of the Brazil Canada Bar Association (BCBA), the first and only association of Brazilian lawyers in Canada. The BCBA promotes professional development, equitable opportunities for Brazilian lawyers, and access to justice for individuals with a Brazilian background in Canada.
Outside of his legal practice, Everton is a long-distance triathlete and runner, having completed multiple endurance races in different countries, including his most recent Ironman 70.3 in Nice, France, in 2024.
